The distillery is owned by Homdo Shuzu Co. Ltd and was
founded in 1985 but mothballed between 1992 and 2011. At around
800m above sea level it's Japan's highest distillery.

Glass: Classic Malt
Colour: Dark yellow gold
Nose:
Very aromatic and sweet with suggestions of buttery toffee and
mild wet leafiness in the background.
Palate: Definitely a
suggestion of buttery toffee, perhaps cereal too and is that a
faint hint of ginger?
Finish: Long
Overall Impression: I love the character of this whisky.
Mild and gentle but yet distinctive.
