Glass: Classic
Malt
Colour: Yellow gold (9ct)
Nose: Hay and
straw initially make this a light farmy whiskey. Wet leaves and
a hint of rubber follow shortly afterwards. After some minutes
light floral and butterscotch notes begin to appear which
intensify with more time.
Palate:
Very smooth start with that hay, but the palate intensifies and
expands to include floral malt and butterscotch with black
pepper.
Finish: Long with gentle black pepper.
Overall Impression:
My first 'farmy' Irish whiskey but it's still smooth and
flavoursome. Not bad, but not my favourite style, although
that's purely personal. |
